Eating Out / Park Life

Each ingredient combines to create dishes freshly cooked to order such as our starter; Seared Scottish Scallops, Cauliflour, Smoked Bacon, Lemon Mousse & Sauce Vierge. The dish was light and fragrant with a great texture and a riot of colour from the thoughtful combination.
Our main course choice was Roast Stuffed Saddle of Lamb with Basil, Apricots, Sun-Ripened Tomatoes, Fondant Potatoes, Balsamic Jus and Braised Red Cabbage. Neatly designed to incorporate a range of sweet and innovative flavours, the dish was impeccably prepared and presented.
To round off our meal, Stuart showcased a Vanilla & Toffee Infused Cheesecake with Crushed Ginger-Nut Biscuit Base and Kahula Butterscotch. The dish itself smacks of tradition, a safe and reassuring pudding, but is creatively implemeted with exceptional brown and white spun-sugar embellishment and redcurrents cradled within.
Diners also enjoy canapés or amuse-bouches before their meal, and hand-made petit fours, in addition to the hand-made bread creatures and delicious, conventional bread, baked freshly in-house. Stuart says that he’s keen to win Kenwick Park two rosettes and has already received a warm response to the new menu; “We’ve already had two large parties who have enjoyed diing with us – we’re thriving on the response and really want to offer local diners a quality dining experience close to the town centre.”
Such is his respect for the opninion of his potential local patrons that Stuart say he wants Louth’s diners to suggest dishes for the new menus. Winning suggestions will not only be adopted by the restaurant with their benefactor credited on the menu, but those who successfully suggest the new dishes will be invited to spend a day in the kitchens to witness their dish’s development, after which Kenwick Park will afford the diner a meal for two in the Fairways dining room.
“We’re really excited about the idea of local food and intend to promote Louth’s local ingredients, suppliers and reward its diners’ discernment for insisting on those in the food we prepare.” He says.
In addition to the restaurant, Kenwick Park features an 18 hole golf course, plus a health & leisure club with a Techno-gym, pool, sauna,
