Talk With Pride / Vroom with a view

Upon his return to the UK, Jeff almost immediately ordered two Harley Davidson bikes totalling £60,000, complementing his existing fleet of £750,000 worth of vehicles. Jeff now has everything from a 1920s Rolls Royce Phantom One to a sophisticated top of the range Mercedes car with night vision and adaptive cruise control. His Heritage Softtail 96 is recognisable as the motorcycle from the Terminator films, with shiny chrome and jet black paint, whilst his Screamin’ Eagle Road King is a customised bike with a huge 1,800cc engine, metallic copper paintwork and a sound that will definitely ensure that the groom’s arrival is noticed!
To say the bikes are loud is an understatement, and Jeff has already taken bookings throughout the season for weddings, but somewhat unexpectedly, other markets are beginning to emerge. As the county’s prom season gets underway, pupils across the county are clamouring to book the bikes to make an entrance at their school-leavers’ disco, and Jeff was also amazed to discover a number of people wanting ‘Harley-grams’ where a passenger celebrating their birthday or other special occasion is picked up and taken for a ride around their home town.
“It goes back to what we mentioned about fulfilling a list of things to do within your lifetime.” Says Jeff. “Everyone should experience the power, the sound and presence of a Harley at least once in their lives… it’s really entertaining, huge fun!”
Because of the unexpected success of the two bikes and the way the public has taken to them, Jeff hopes to capitalise on the Wolds scenery surrounding him by adding a few more bikes to his fleet and conducting Harley tours around the county.
“We’ve a superb landscape, some great little places to stop for a cuppa or to admire the view, so it’s make sense to offer Lincolnshire Wolds Harley Tours. That’s something we’d be looking at for next season.” He says.
In the mean time anyone who is, at heart, born to be wild can enjoy hiring the bikes with no equipment or clothing required, and anyone needing to get to the church on time can, we reckon, definitely rely on a Harley to be one of the county’s most distinctive and rapid forms of transport for your big day!
